Fairies - Lumina and Rubina

The story begins in a beautiful forest called the Nest of Roses, where various roses grow together.

There, roses in beautiful shades of blue, red, and yellow, and so on were blooming in full glory.

One night, a beautiful blue rose fairy quietly appeared and began to dance with a melancholic grace.

His figure blended into the quiet moonlight, shining softly without disturbing the night’s stillness.

Soon after, a pretty red rose fairy appeared as well.

The two of them exchanged glances, as if drawn to each other, and their hearts connected.

The blue rose fairy was named Lumina, and the red rose fairy was named Rubina.

Roses are destined to end their lives when all their petals fall.

Under the moonlight, with their petals swaying in the breeze, they began to dance, filling their limited time with love and joy.

One day, he took her to the top of the hill.

From there, they could see the beautiful lights of the city.

Surely, each of those lights represented a home, where lovers spent their days happily together.

Red, blue, and yellow, countless, colorful lights spread across the view, making the cityscape look as breathtaking as a galaxy.

Over time, they dreamed of being together forever.

However, their happiness would not last long.

Suddenly, his mother named Tradittione appeared to separate them.

"Roses of different colors cannot be happy together. There is no love between them." She coldly told him.

It was the same to her father named Regola.

They didn't believe the existence of love no matter how they were the same flowers who lived on the same ground.

Those words tore them apart.

As they sank into sorrow, a fire, born from the war of humans, began to spread across the land.

The raging flames consumed the trees, and the hatred-filled heat began to corrupt nature itself.

"Why is it that human lives are not eternal, yet people cannot choose to live together happily and honor love?

Do they believe that they cannot be happy unless they hurt someone who lives in a different country?

Isn't that the same as choosing not to love?"

The words Lumina murmured were filled with deep sorrow and a strong question directed at the people of the world.

At that moment, Lumina saw the flames drawing closer to the place where Rubina lived.

"It’s dangerous! Don’t go!" Tradittione said.

But without hesitation, he waved his hand and, leaving those words behind, rushed to her.

"This is the only time I can be with her, and I can never love anyone else.

If she leaves, I will go with her together, and I will leave this world and enter a world of love with her. I choose love."

He ran through the blazing forest and saw Rubina trembling beneath a tree.

Rubina was a kind girl, even in such a moment, she was trying to protect an innocent creature, a little butterfly.

Just as the flames were about to engulf Rubina, Lumina rushed to cover her with his own body.

Amidst the falling, burning trees, Rubina, tears in her eyes, asked, "Why...? You might have been saved."

Lumina smiled gently, embracing her and replying softly,

"Even if all my petals fall, my love will never fade. I choose my love with courage."

Rubina, too, with tears flowing, responded,

"I’m so glad I met you. I choose love too. I love you."

"I love you too." He responded.

In that moment, as they embraced tightly and kissed, the two of them were engulfed in flames, burning away together.

---

After some time passed, when the war ended and the land regained its tranquility, a beautiful and mysterious rose, its petals alternating between red and blue was seen in the ashes where they had burned.

It was standing there as if it only chose love with honor while others didn't.

And, a pair of butterflies were flying as if they were guarding the rose.

People speculated that this was the first time that the red and blue roses, which had only bloomed separately, had come together.

Each petal of this rose swayed as it changed colors, and its beauty touched the hearts of all who saw it.

It shined with a gentle light, bringing healing to the land that had been scarred by hatred.

Soon, the area where the rose stood was named as Agape and became known as a symbol of love, and couples who visited it vowed their love before it.

One winter day, as snow fell, a girl visited the site.

The mysterious rose, with its alternating red and blue petals, seemed to whisper love.

Perhaps the girl was also being forced to make a decision in the midst of her own love and parting.

She quietly whispered with determination.

"I’ve made up my mind.

I choose love."

The rose swayed gently, as if it had heard her words and was smiling.
