This story begins in the yard where lots of hamsters are playing basketball.
As well as every house had the yard, every yard had the school for hamsters and the basketball club in this area.
It was a good sunny day.
A cute one was looking at the play of the basketball on the grass in a sad manner.
Her name was Alex, who had just moved into this yard with her family because their yard got damaged due to the flood.
She loved the basketball and wanted to join in the club, ‘Gardenflowers’,
but the bad manager ’Gold’ didn’t allow her to play, insisting how she was not proper in the team, showing many examples, such as her different tail(Longer than usual), her small nose(Rather cute), her favorite food(Sushi), and so on.
All of them were quite nonsense.
He just didn’t like the people who were different.
This made her so sad.
Her best friend Mika in the team thought it unfair and complained, but Gold didn't listen to her.
In the end, Alex was told to support the team as a cheerleader if she wanted to stay with them.
It was terribly weird.
‘What ? A cheerleader ?’

There were 5 regular players.
Karen was the ace shooter.
Diana was good at the pass cut.
Cathy was excellent as a defender.
Nat was also an excellent defender.
Mika was the team leader.
The skill of each player was not bad, but the team Gardenflowers hadn't won in any games yet.
What they missed the most was confidence.
The continuous losses had completely destroyed their confidence by now.
In this point, the suggestion of Gold was not totally wrong.
They indeed needed supporters.
Alex made a beautiful uniform then practiced the performance.
She waved, jumped, danced, cheered the team whenever they were losing in the games, and even repaired their shoes after the games.
Those were the things they had never expected.
They were indeed cheered by Alex, and started to win in every game.
They thanked her very much.
Mika believed this could happen though.

They kept winning and the day of the final game arrived.
Her mother Daria who had been offended by the decision of Gold insisted that Alex didn’t need to go because she was not a regular member, but Alex insisted that she would go.
Of course, Alex was sad because she was not allowed to play, but she still wanted the team to win.
The game started.
Alex cheered the team passionately with a new dance.
By seeing her performance, all of the team members decided to win for Alex as well.
But, the opponent Nighttwinklers was very strong. Being charged by one defender, Diana, who was the ace shooter, fell down twisting her leg.
It was impossible for her to continue the game.
“Alex, please play in place of her”, said Mika.
“What ? She is not playing !”
Gold angrily stopped her.
‘Sir Gold, we have no extra members. We will lose if Alex can’t play.’
Mika severely talked back.
Alex nodded, held her hand, and stood on the ground.
Everyone got quite confused.
‘What ? Is the cheerleader going to play ?’
The play restarted.
"Go Alex !" Mika cried out.
Mika passed the ball to Alex, then she jumped high with one foot like an angel and pushed the ball into the basket elegantly.
That made opponent surprised.
‘Alex is our great team member as well as our cheerleader.’
Mika proudly said.
Cheerleading time was not waste.
Alex had completely studied how she should act by seeing their play in the distance.
Besides, she kept training by herself secretly.
Actually, all of the team members knew about it though.
The team was delighted.
However, the enemy was still tough.
During the game, Alex also twisted her foot and fell down onto the ground.
"Alex ! Are you OK ?"
Team members gathered.
She showed a sad look.
"It hurts. I can't jump anymore."
Alex was so small that unless she jumped high she wasn't able to shoot.
The score was 31-32.
Gardenflowers was 1 point behind.
They needed 2 points in 10 seconds to win in the game, which looked impossible.
That made Gold laugh.
"Do you see that ?
She's not proper !
She’s not even from our yard !"
His words made Mika so upset.
"Yes, she is !"
"We should support her now !"
Mika told all of the team members.
‘Do you remember ?
Why are we now ?
Alex brought us here !
We had never won any games !
But, Alex supported us !
We don’t care how she is different from us !
We care how she is great for us !
Now, we have to support her and win together !’
'Yes !'
Everyone responded.
‘Alex ! We will be cheerleading for you !‘, said Mika.
‘What is going on ?’
The opponent got confused as 3 of the members,
Cathy, Nat, and Mika formed a triangle and supported Alex.
While they were confused, Karen stole the ball from the opponent and passed it to Alex.
“Go ! Alex, Fly !!”, cried all team members, and pushed her hard.
Alex flew in the sky like a shooting star holding a ball and hit the goal with the whistle at times.
The game was over.
Gardenflowers, who used to be called as Permanentlosers became the champion for the first time.
Audience got amagazed.
Mika coldly told Gold,
" We're one team no matter how she is different from us."
Gold couldn't talk back.
Without Alex, the team would not have won the championship.
Then, Alex showed up in front of him being carried by the team members.
He could not know what to say.
While he was finding a word, Alex surprisingly jumped and gave a tight hug to him.
“Thank you sir ! You were right ! We won !”, in a cheerful voice.
By seeing her pure and happy smile, Gold burst into tears.
“Yes, you did it ! You did it !”
Saying so, he held her back.

One week has passed since the last game.
Alex was so happy.
She was given a regular uniform.
It made not only Daria but everybody happy as well.
And, there were more things.
She became very popular among the people.
One boy was madly in love with her, which made Mika smile.
Then, lots of girls got attracted by her performance, and she became the team leader of the official cheerleading club.
Then, who is the manager of the cheerleading club ?
Yes, Mr. Gold !
(He had to change by her pure and lovely act.)
He’s now taking care of Alex as if she is his daughter.
It seems Alex has to continue the two jobs for a long time.
